Lately, I've been debating whether to use L2 or the mainnet, basically a tug-of-war between gas fees and user experience. The mainnet is expensive but feels more secure, especially for large transactions or multi-step operations—I’d rather make fewer moves, shorten the path, and consider the fees as an "insurance cost" recorded in the ledger; L2 is cheaper and smoother, suitable for small, frequent trades, but I add an "exit cost" column for myself: in case I need to return to the mainnet, bridge congestion, or temporarily withdraw in an emergency, so I don’t save on gas only to get stuck later.

These days, the group is again discussing stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and various rumors about "de-pegging," and as soon as emotions rise, everyone wants to switch back and forth immediately. My current compromise is: keep the daily liquid funds on L2, while the core holdings and stablecoin reserves that I don’t want to fuss over are still on the mainnet—less checking of news helps me sleep better… Anyway, I’ll just write the rules into the spreadsheet and keep emotions off the chain.
