According to CCTV News, the station’s reporter has learned that on March 1st local time, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi issued a statement regarding the assassination of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, expressing deep sorrow over his death and emphasizing that Iran will hold those responsible accountable.

The statement said that during his tenure, Khamenei led Iran to continue the path established by the former Supreme Leader Khomeini,坚持反对压迫、维护国家独立与民族尊严。 The statement described Khamenei’s assassination as a major challenge to the Islamic world.

The statement pointed out that Iran considers holding accountable those responsible for and behind this incident as its “responsibility and legal right,” and said it will take necessary measures in response.
