L3Harris Technologies awarded nearly $400 million contract to supply propulsion for THAAD missile defense interceptors

L3Harris Technologies has secured a contract worth almost $400 million to provide propulsion systems for the Missile Defense Agency’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system. This contract encompasses the production of solid rocket boost motors and Liquid Divert and Attitude Control Systems for the critical U.S. missile defense system. THAAD is renowned for its 100% success rate in intercept tests, capable of intercepting targets both inside and outside the atmosphere.
