This accounts for 3.4% of the total Bitcoin supply, concentrated on one balance sheet. Interestingly, the purchase price of $67,700 is below their own average cost of $75,985. They are not just enduring the decline; they are intentionally lowering their average cost while others are scared.
ProCap Financial increased its holdings by 4,500 BTC on February 27 for $35.4 million. A smaller firm, doing the same operation. Total holdings now stand at 5,457 BTC. No one mentioned this.
What truly surprises me is Bitmine. Tom Lee’s company bought 50,928 ETH last week, worth $98 million. They currently hold a total of 4,473,587 ETH, of which 3,040,483 ETH are staked and generating yields. At current prices, just this staked portion yields approximately $172 million annually. They are not waiting for prices to rise; they are already making money while the market bleeds.
