Styrene production slightly increased month-on-month, with one set of equipment in East China restarting and resuming production.

Latest data shows that as of the week ending February 5, China’s styrene production capacity at the overall plant level was 350,900 tons, an increase of 3,400 tons or 0.98% week-on-week; plant capacity utilization was 69.96%, up 0.68% week-on-week. This week, one unit in East China was restarted and began production, but the output time was limited. Additionally, the impact time of load reduction units in South China increased, and there were no load reductions or shutdowns during the week, so overall output saw a slight increase.
