Forty-two days · Changing from three in the morning to four in the evening, and from four in the evening to three in the morning
Reading "Zhuangzi," there's a story about raising monkeys.
The monkey keeper distributes chestnuts to the monkeys, saying: "Three in the morning, four in the evening."
The monkeys get angry, baring their teeth and snarling.
The monkey keeper quickly changes his words: "Then four in the morning, three in the evening?"
The monkeys instantly become happy, rolling on the ground.
Zhuangzi wrote here, with a faint remark:
"The name and reality are not lost, and joy and anger are used as tools."
Translate into plain language:
The total is still seven, just in a different order, and the monkeys are happy.
Reading this, I fell silent while looking at the candlestick chart.
"Rally in the morning, dump in the evening" — the monkeys are angry.
"Dump in the morning, rally in the evening" — the monkeys are happy.
There are still twenty-four hours in a day, and the ups and downs are still those points,
The positions are still the same, and the market makers are still the same.
Just by changing the order, we sometimes cry, sometimes laugh.
Today go long, tomorrow go short,
This week full position, next week no position.
After all the hustle, looking back:
The principal is still the same, but the transaction fees are halved.
Zhuangzi saw through this two thousand years ago:
"Changing from three in the morning to four in the evening" is not a story about monkeys, but our story.
But what Zhuangzi didn't say is:
What happened to those monkeys who didn't follow joy or anger?
After the monkey keeper finished distributing the chestnuts, they quietly ate and did whatever they wanted.
No fuss, no anger, no joy, no fussing around.
The next day, still seven.
The third day, still seven.
A month later, still seven.
But the energy they saved is enough for them to climb a few more trees and pick a few more fruits.
We are the same.
Not following every wave of fluctuation,
The energy saved is enough to read a few more research reports, study a few more projects,
Sleep a few more peaceful nights, enjoy a few more dinners.
Changing from three in the morning to four in the evening is the monkey's way of life,
Changing from four in the evening to three in the morning is also the monkey's way of life.
Not counting the chestnuts, that is the human way of life. #2月非农意外负增长
