I noticed an interesting movement in the market. It seems that capital is gradually shifting from Bitcoin to altcoins, which could indicate that we are on the verge of an altcoin season.
CrypFlow and other experienced analysts have identified several key signals. First, the chart of Others (all altcoins) has broken out of a falling wedge relative to Bitcoin. Second, the Squeeze Momentum indicator is turning green. Both of these events have historically coincided with major altcoin rallies in 2017 and 2021.
Of course, Bitcoin still dominates the market with a 58% share, but that hasn't prevented analysts from noticing early signs. Javon Marx pointed out macro trends in altcoin settings that align with previous periods of altcoin activity.
Data from Blockchain Center show that the altcoin season index is at 49 points. To confirm a full altcoin season, it needs to rise above 75, but the trend is clearly in our favor. Analyst CW also highlighted long-term convergence in Ethereum, which could mean that a truly strong altcoin season is ahead—potentially surpassing even the 2017 cycle.
All of this looks promising. If these signals are confirmed, altcoins may finally get their moment in the sun.
