Aave, Partners Launch DeFi United After Kelp DAO Hack

Aave and several DeFi partners launched DeFi United after the Kelp DAO hack, with Lido Finance proposing up to 2,500 stETH for a relief fund. Ether.fi and Aave founder Stani Kulechov each also proposed contributing 5,000 ETH to help stabilize rsETH. The attacker minted uncollateralized rsETH and used it as collateral to borrow about $190 million, which triggered mass withdrawals.
