#US-IranTalksStall Indirect talks between the United States and Iran, recently held in Oman, have stalled, dealing a blow to hopes of reviving the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA). Both sides have hardened their positions, accusing each other of refusing to show the necessary flexibility.

Iran has made it clear that it will not make any concessions on its uranium enrichment program unless the US first lifts all economic sanctions completely and verifiably. Tehran insists that sanctions relief is the only path back to compliance.

On the other hand, Washington maintains that Iran must immediately halt its advanced nuclear activities and allow greater international oversight before any sanctions are rolled back. US officials have expressed frustration over Iran's growing stockpile of near-weapons-grade enriched uranium.

The stalemate has raised concerns among European mediators, who fear that continued deadlock could lead to a deeper regional crisis or military escalation. With neither side willing to make the first move, the prospects for a renewed agreement in the near term appear increasingly dim.
