Objective
This guide will walk you through how to bind and change your email address on Gate Web.
Steps
Step 1: Access Email Verification Settings
Log in to your Gate account. Place your cursor on the top-right profile icon and navigate to "Security Settings" > "Email Verification".
Step 2: Bind Your Email Address
Click "Turn on" to begin the email binding process. Enter your email address, the verification code received via email, and your fund password. Click "Email Setup" to complete the binding.
Step 3: Change Your Email Address (If Current Email Is Accessible)
If you need to change your email address and can still access your current email, click "Change" in the Email Verification section. Follow the prompts to enter your new email address and complete the verification process.
Step 4: Reset Email Address (If Current Email Is Inaccessible)
If your current email is no longer accessible, submit a support ticket at Gate website or send an email to support@gate.com with the following information:
- Gate username and user ID
- Old email address and new email address
- Legal name and city of registration
- Names of currencies you trade
- A photo of yourself holding your ID and a paper note containing: your Gate username, problem description, linked phone number, and current date
Alternatively, submit an application through the security reset page at https://www.gate.com/security_reset. Your request will be reviewed within 1-3 working days.

- Once an email address is linked to your Gate account, it can be changed but cannot be unlinked.
- Email address changes require verification through your current email if it is still accessible.
- For security reset requests, ensure all provided information is accurate and complete.
