SUN Token has burned a large amount again!
Latest news shows that the SUN.io platform has just completed its 48th round of Token burn operation. This time it's quite significant—over 2.06 million SUN were sent to the black hole address from October 9 to November 3. That's right, permanently gone, never to return.
The data is even more intense: since the launch of this buyback program in mid-December 2021, the total number of burned SUN has exceeded 648 million coins. This number is still continuing to grow.
In simple terms, it's a deflationary strategy. The tokens circulating in the market are becoming fewer, which theoretically increases the scarcity of each one. This kind of operation is not new in the crypto space, but it really depends on the strength and sustainability of the execution. From the data, the SUN buyback plan has been running for almost four years, which can be seen as somewhat of a long-term approach.
Of course, burning is just a means; ultimately, it depends on whether the market accepts it. In token economics, a reduction in supply is indeed a fundamental logic supporting value, but whether it can truly translate into a price increase must consider the project's actual application scenarios, ecosystem development, and the overall market environment.
Anyway, this time there are more than 2 million less, the numbers are right there.
