☕ The 'I Just Need to Explain the Whitepaper' Post ☕
#MyCryptoFunnyMoment
You know you've been in crypto too long when your brain has been fundamentally rewired.
Last night, I woke up in a cold sweat because I was dreaming I was trying to explain the purpose of my Layer 2 scaling solution to a barista.
Me: "So, we need to achieve high throughput without compromising security, right? That's why we use ZK-rollups to batch transactions off-chain and only post the state difference to the main chain."
Barista: [Staring at the drip coffee machine] "Sir, do you want oat milk or almond milk?"
Me: "It doesn't matter, as long as it's decentralized and I don't have to pay $50 in gas fees for this small $4 latte."
My wife just looked at me and said, "You've replaced actual communication with explaining abstract concepts involving cryptography."
She's not wrong. I'm now perpetually in the state of trying to prove I’m not crazy while simultaneously understanding the entire global financial system is built on magic internet money. Send help, or at least a stablecoin.
Have you ever tried to explain crypto to a non-crypto person and instantly regretted it? Tell me what they thought! 👇
