On the morning of December 4, Ethereum’s official X account posted that Ethereum successfully activated the Fusaka upgrade at epoch 411392 (05:49 Beijing time on December 4)😯😯.
This upgrade introduces the PeerDAS mechanism, boosting Rollup data throughput to 8 times its original capacity. It also optimizes user experience through the R1 curve and pre-confirmation mechanisms, while laying the groundwork for future scalability improvements such as raising the L1 gas limit.

This marks Ethereum’s 17th major upgrade and comes just about 7 months after the previous upgrade, Pectra, in May of this year. Not only does this upgrade deliver multiple UX and scalability improvements, it also signifies Ethereum’s official entry into an accelerated development pace of "two hard forks per year."
