⚠️ ETH funding rate is almost flat—Is this the calm before the storm?
The latest data from Coinglass is pretty interesting:
The 8-hour average ETH funding rate across the network is only 0.0017%—that number is so low it barely has a pulse.
Looking at the major platforms: A leading exchange: -0.001% (bears have a slight edge) Exchange A: -0.006% (shorts are actively buying) Exchange B: 0.0006% (basically zero)
💡 What signals are hidden behind this?
First, both longs and shorts have reduced their positions to the extreme. With funding rates this flat, simply put, no one dares to add leverage—everyone is waiting on the sidelines.
The market now is like a fully drawn bow, just waiting for a clear direction. Will it break upward or crash downward? Nobody knows, so no one dares to make a move.

The fee rate has been stuck at the ground for so long without any movement, it feels a bit uncomfortable.

The fee rates are almost at rock bottom, but somehow it feels more oppressive than usual... Is this calm truly a prelude to a storm?

The fees are almost gone, it seems like everyone is holding back their big moves.

Fee rates are grounded, everyone is betting on the direction; whoever moves first in this wave will die.

With fees like this, it feels like the market is gearing up for something big. Someone should have broken the deadlock a long time ago.

The fees are so low, it's honestly a bit scary. If you pull the bowstring too tight, it's bound to snap sooner or later...

The fees are already rock-bottom, what are you waiting for? This trading is getting more and more stagnant.

The fees are already rock bottom. It feels like that eerie calm before a storm—whoever makes a move now will have to be the bagholder.

When the fees are pinned to the floor, it means no one dares to make a move. I’ve seen this kind of eerie calm too many times before, and it usually doesn’t end well.

The fees are all rock bottom, it feels like the whales are all hiding, this pace is definitely strange.
