How can you truly make money in the crypto world?
This is an old question, but someone always asks it. A friend of mine was once troubled by this issue—still had $15,000 in his account, could analyze technically like a pro, every judgment about the trend was almost spot on, and yet? His balance kept shrinking.
Where did he go wrong? Not in analysis or judgment, but in execution rhythm. He would rush to take profits after a 5% gain, and once caught in a position, he would hold on stubbornly—either missing the main upward wave or getting deeply trapped. In the end, he realized that what he lacked was not analytical ability but a sense of rhythm.
**Human nature is the biggest enemy**
Having observed many traders, they all fall into the same vicious cycle: correctly identifying the direction but making wrong trades, buying the right coins but missing the market move. What is the main culprit? Human nature. Fear causes us to take profits too early, greed makes us stubbornly hold when we should let go.
The crypto market is like surfing—you’re not creating the waves, but recognizing their direction and rhythm, then riding with them. Most people want to conquer every wave, but end up being swept away by it.
**How to correct this imbalance?**
I suggested a method to my friend called the "Rhythm Trading Method." It sounds complicated, but it’s actually just five principles:
First, only enter when Bitcoin and Ethereum show clear trends. Don’t predict the market; follow the market. Trends are friends, but don’t get too close.
Second, always keep initial positions light. Control the risk of each trade within a reasonable range, leaving room for adjustments. Even if your judgment is wrong, you won’t be hurt badly.
Third, discipline in taking profits. Close positions once your preset target is reached—don’t expect to squeeze out every last penny.
Fourth, have a plan even when caught in a position. Replenish when needed, cut losses when necessary—don’t passively wait.
The last point is the most critical—review your trades. After each trade, ask yourself: Did I profit from the trend or from luck? This determines how far you can go.
Honestly, this method has no flashy tricks, and it’s even a bit boring. But it changed my friend’s trading trajectory—from a market spectator to a steady profit-maker.
High profits in crypto are tempting, but rhythm is more important than high profits. Hold steady—that’s the real key to holding.
