🚨 Senate Agriculture Committee Approves Crypto Market Structuring Bill

In a close vote (12 a 11) vote on a partisan basis, the Senate Agriculture Committee pushed through landmark cryptocurrency legislation that expands the scope of the CFTC's oversight of digital commodities such as Bitcoin and other tokens.

While the democratic amendments to the ethics and other amendments were not passed, the substance of the law passed the committee in less than an hour of debate.

Next stop: the full Senate.
