Being cold, distant, unfriendly, and untrusting towards family members; but appearing close, gentle, and willing to trust strangers. At first glance, this phenomenon seems like "favoring outsiders over family," but the deeper reason lies in viewing all relationships as resources to be utilized: family members are stable, low-turnover, easily controlled internal resources that don't require much emotional investment or cost, so they can be treated casually; outsiders are unstable, hard-to-control external resources that need to be maintained through enthusiasm, trust, and a good image to preserve their exchange value. Therefore, this difference is not about emotional closeness but about a relationship logic centered on control and benefit.
