The Coinbase 50 Index is an index created to measure the overall performance of the cryptocurrency market.

The first 4 coins already make up a large portion of the index.
The remaining 46 projects are represented with very small weightings.
Coinbase selects large and liquid cryptocurrencies in the market.
It creates an index by weighting according to market cap and liquidity.
This way, the overall performance of the crypto market is measured.
In other words, the Coinbase 50 Index can be thought of as the S&P 500 of the crypto market.
Funds can use this as a reference when measuring crypto performance.
In the future, ETFs / funds may select investment products based on this index.
Generally, they select permanent and large projects in the market.
