Recently, I've come across a bunch of projects involving re-staking and shared security, explained like LEGO blocks, with returns stacking on top of each other... I admit, with my meme brain, I get excited just hearing about it, but if I calm down and think clearly: the stacking might not only increase returns but also risks and the illusion of "I thought it was very safe." Especially when macro factors are also talking about interest rate cut expectations, and the dollar index and risk assets are acting up together, market sentiment shifts, and the chain reaction is ridiculously fast. Anyway, I'm just testing the waters with a small amount of money now, keeping my profile picture, not idolizing protocols, just sticking to that for now.
What I fear most isn't actually missing out on opportunities, but the awkwardness of pretending to understand when I clearly don't.
