On the subway, there's another wave of PFP/member card narratives, and it feels like everyone is rushing to be "seen" during those few days. Honestly, I still care more about whether it can gradually develop a sense of brand: whether holding this avatar/member card means just joining a group to get a password and red envelope, or if years later people still want to use it as an identity or preference.
Recently, on-chain data tools and those tagging systems have been criticized for being outdated and easily misled. I think they are quite similar to the current PFP evaluation methods: looking at tags, popularity, and who transacts with whom are all rearview mirrors. Truly long-term things might be more "boring"—consistent content, stable fulfillment, and not relying on daily activities to maintain activity. Anyway, I don't chase the hype; I prefer to pre-embed points in small corners I understand, waiting for the flowers to bloom... If they don't bloom, I’ll just consider it paying tuition.
