It really hurts when cold foods make your teeth feel sensitive, doesn’t it? Recently, I tried a few desensitizing toothpastes, and I realized that their effectiveness differs more than I expected.

From what I found after trying them out in various ways, products that contain both aluminum lactate and potassium nitrate tend to be more effective for sensitivity care. Recal センシティブ and Nama-Ha d are designed to be gentle even on sensitive teeth, with no abrasives and 1,450 ppm fluoride included.

On the other hand, the Gum・Procare and シュミテクト series do a solid job at addressing tooth sensitivity, but because they contain abrasives, you need to be careful if you use them every day. In terms of the feel, the level of lather and the sense of refreshment vary quite a bit from product to product.

In the end, the products that rank high in sensitivity rankings seem to be not only well thought-out in terms of ingredient composition, but also considered for how easy they are to keep using. It seems best to choose based on your teeth’s condition, considering whether or not they contain abrasives and what their flavor is like.
