Normally I'd hesitate for ages before spending dozens of dollars on a video membership, but lately I've been constantly connecting to various LLM APIs, burning through dozens of dollars in tokens daily like money grows on trees. I'm subscribing to multiple other AI software memberships at five or six hundred dollars a month each without batting an eye.

Today I finally sat down and did the math carefully, only to discover my spending is no trivial amount. Yet the actual value these tools have genuinely brought me is virtually negligible.

This money would be more than enough to hire an exceptionally excellent employee who could consistently and efficiently solve problems.

AI is still in its early evolutionary stage right now, and we're just the batch of crazy spenders frantically feeding it data—nothing but transitional nutrients on its growth path.
