Metaplanet Raises $255M to Expand Bitcoin Strategy
Japanese micro-strategy company Metaplanet ($MPJPY) has raised ~$255M from global institutional investors via a private placement.
The deal includes new shares at a 2% premium and fixed-strike warrants at a 10% premium, which could unlock up to ~$276M more if exercised.
That brings potential total funding to ~$531M as Metaplanet advances its goal of acquiring 210,000 BTC.
