🚨 22-YEAR-OLD PLEADS GUILTY IN $263M CRYPTO SCHEME
The U.S. Department of Justice announced that Evan Tangeman, 22, of California, has pleaded guilty to participating in a social engineering scam that stole approximately 4,100 BTC worth $263 million between 2023 and 2025.
Tangeman is accused of laundering over $3.5 million for the group, using cash conversion tools to conceal the source.
He is the ninth defendant to plead guilty in the investigation, with sentencing scheduled for April 24, 2026.
The criminal group originated from the online gaming community and later expanded into an international network, targeting hacked hardware wallets and databases.
