$BTC htf longs - the story of our 8th win in a row
Reached 5.14% so far , and 3 days of AAP
Quick monitoring here of our high timeframe long we took, where we said, it's time to stop trading the range, and aim for a bigger move up.
Scored 7 wins in a row so far trading the range, hoping for the 8th with this trending move up.
This move is based on our timeframe-wide market analysis, and confirmed with sentiment loud and clear.
Yes, we could go lower and approach or take out the 81k low, but strategically and statistically, it made sense to attempt the long in the 85k area first as I posted why with a long and drawn out post, to essentially not miss out as a bold first attempt. Especially with the sentiment out there, especially with all the bears out there, etc etc.
So far, it's paying. Not in a materializing way, but in a monitoring way.
Because, the CMFE is 5.14% so far, and the AAP is 3 days. The main metrics I watch and deem useful when monitoring htf trades.
CMFE is "current maximum favorable excursion", which is the amount the trade has moved in our favor. And the AAP is "age above pain", which is the amount of days the trade has spent above entry.
Both metrics, combine price and time and are key for monitoring purposes especially for bigger move trades with risk minimized already (SL very close to entry).
Especially the CMFE being 5.14%, has positive implications. For example, our first target is about 11% away. So 5.14% above entry (and a bit more off the low), if used as a measured move, only needs to happen once more to already hit first target.
Secondly, if combined with AAP high MFE and AAP, implicitly suggest daily closes close to resistance which is the cleanest form of breakout attempts.
In simple terms, the longer the trade spends above entry and the higher MFE, the harder it gets for bears to hold res lines, and the better for us to catch this breakout. Even if it fails, it still means more liquidity and hogher probability for a second attempt, which also explains the inval at entry here.
So, while I could have framed this trade as a low timeframe trade, and booked an 8th win already, claiming "clout", I'll always keep it fully honest with you, not chase winstreaks, and trade what I see, not what I want and share that idea.
That is the only way to keep me and you winning consistently.
As promised, I am seeing a bigger move soon, and so I aim for it.
Consequentially, we will have to earn this 8th win in a row.
Pretty confident though. Bearish sentiment absolutely through the roof, into our clear bullish analysis.
Thanks for holding along. It's been a pleasure so far. We'll see if we hit targets.
And I'll be the first to tell you if we did or didn't.
