If war really breaks out, what’s the most valuable thing?

Gold, US dollars? Or that house with a mortgage you haven't paid off in your city?
Stop dreaming. Just look at the current battlefield to understand.
Where will the first strike target? Definitely the power grid.
Once the entire city loses power, your smart door lock, fingerprint code, and robot vacuum all become scrap metal instantly.
If the elevator stops on a 20th floor or higher, going up and down becomes a strenuous climb.
And it doesn’t end there—water supply will be cut off next.
Modern urban water systems rely entirely on electricity. When the power goes out, water stops too.
At that point, forget about taking a shower; even drinking water, cooking, and flushing the toilet become problems.
Even more brutal, cities are absolutely the primary targets.
Airports, train stations, highway intersections— all critical transportation arteries will be cut off first.
If you want to escape, you might not even find a road.
So remember, if war comes, the first rule is to leave the city immediately.
How exactly? Three steps, each crucial.
Step one: withdraw cash.
Take out as much as you can—don’t rely on mobile payments.
When the network collapses, no matter how much money you have in your account, it’s just numbers on a screen.
Only cash in hand is real money.
Step two: fill up your car’s tank and prepare spare fuel.
Your car is your legs; fuel is your life.
Don’t wait until long lines at the gas station or government controls, and then regret not preparing in advance.
Step three: pack your essentials, throw them in the car, and head straight back to your hometown without looking back.
Pack only jewelry, important documents, and emergency supplies—keep it simple and leave immediately.
Time is life. In war, what’s most valuable isn’t anything else,
but that rural house of yours back home that you might overlook.
Missiles are expensive; no one wastes them. Bombing a farmland or a single cottage.
In the countryside, you have well water to drink and land to farm.
If you still have an old house in the countryside, keep it—clean it regularly and visit often.
When chaos truly erupts, that will be your last and most reliable escape route.
