Ministry of Commerce: From 2020 to 2025, China's per capita service consumption expenditure will grow at an average annual rate of 8.5%

The Policy Regular Briefing held by the State Council Information Office this afternoon featured a relevant official from the Ministry of Commerce who introduced that from 2020 to 2025, China’s per capita service consumption expenditure will grow at an average annual rate of 8.5%, demonstrating strong growth momentum; the proportion of per capita service consumption expenditure in residents’ per capita consumption will increase by 3.5 percentage points, reaching 46.1% in 2025, approaching the “half of residents’ consumption.” In the coming period, China’s service consumption development will迎来 an important strategic opportunity, and service consumption will play a vital role in boosting residents’ consumption rate and promoting high-quality economic development.
