Canada’s uranium trading listed company Cameco announced on March 2nd that it has signed a long-term agreement with the Indian government to supply nearly 22 million pounds of uranium concentrate to India at market prices from 2027 to 2035. The total value of the contract is estimated to be approximately 2.6 billion CAD (about 1.9 billion USD).
The statement said that India currently has 24 operational nuclear reactors and plans to deploy dozens more reactors by 2047 to achieve a 100 GW nuclear power capacity.
