Notice on Adjusting Trading Limits for Crude Oil and Other Futures Contracts
Shanghai International Energy Exchange (SIEE) No. 18 [2026]
To all relevant units:
In accordance with the “Risk Control Management Rules for Shanghai International Energy Exchange” and other relevant regulations, after research, it has been decided that starting from March 4, 2026 (the night trading session on March 3), the trading limits for non-futures company members, overseas non-broker participants, and clients for listed futures contracts in crude oil, low-sulfur fuel oil, and the Shipping Index (European line) will be adjusted as follows:
The maximum number of intraday opening trades for listed crude oil futures contracts is 1,200 lots;
The maximum number of intraday opening trades for listed low-sulfur fuel oil futures contracts is 6,000 lots;
The maximum number of intraday opening trades for listed Shipping Index (European line) futures contracts is 50 lots.
For account groups under actual control, the maximum number of intraday opening trades will be applied per individual client. Hedging and market-making opening trades are not subject to this limit.
