Caixin Chinese companies continue to be the main players at the Mobile World Congress (MWC, Barcelona). On March 2nd, local time, the annual Mobile World Congress opened in Barcelona, Spain’s economic center. The event’s organizer, the GSMA, told Caixin that nearly 300 exhibitors from Greater China are participating this year, an increase from 270 last year.
Barcelona is the world’s most important telecommunications industry event, serving as a platform for global operators, telecom equipment manufacturers, and mobile phone companies to showcase new products. The first conference was held in 1987. According to GSMA data, the 2025 event will feature over 2,900 exhibitors from 205 countries and attract 109,000 visitors.
