IT House, February 25 — In the recent episode of the podcast “The Diary of a CEO,” Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi revealed that some Uber team members have developed his AI clone, “Dara AI.”

IT House cites a blog post stating that Dara AI is positioned as a practice partner tool. He said that before formally presenting polished slides to him, team members first rehearse and report to Dara AI to test logic and optimize presentation content.

This “boss clone” is just a glimpse of Uber’s full embrace of artificial intelligence. Khosrowshahi disclosed that about 90% of Uber’s software engineers use various AI tools in their daily work. More importantly, around 30% of these employees are heavy AI users, and this core group is dedicated to leveraging AI to fundamentally rethink and rebuild the company’s technical architecture.

When assessing the impact of technology, Khosrowshahi vividly compares these engineers to “bricklayers” and “architects” of the system. He emphasized that AI technology not only optimizes micro-level workflows but is also transforming and dramatically enhancing the productivity of the entire engineering team at an unprecedented speed and manner.
