U.S. President Trump told reporters on March 7 local time aboard Air Force One en route to Miami, Florida, that the United States currently has no plans to deploy ground troops in Iran regarding military actions, and he described the issue as “not suitable for public discussion.” Trump said that if ground operations are to be taken in the future, there must be “very compelling reasons,” and mentioned that potential targets could include Iran’s nuclear facilities or energy infrastructure, but emphasized that the U.S. is mainly relying on airstrikes to target Iran at present. Trump also stated that he does not want Kurdish forces to intervene in the Iran conflict to avoid further complicating the situation. (CCTV News)
