Abstract generation in progress

Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) is collaborating with major mobile operators to introduce voice alerts for hidden-number calls, a growing method used by scammers. Chunghwa Telecom will pilot a system starting March 2 that plays a warning message in Mandarin and Taiwanese before connecting a hidden-number call. This initiative aims to combat the 10% of scam calls now originating from hidden numbers, which primarily target mobile users.
