The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference will open in Beijing on March 25.

Approved by the State Council, the 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference will be held in Beijing from March 25 to 29. This year’s forum is jointly hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the China Association for Science and Technology, and the Beijing Municipal Government. The Zhongguancun Forum is a national platform in China for global technological innovation exchange and cooperation. Founded in 2007, the forum’s permanent theme is “Innovation and Development,” dedicated to promoting discussions among countries on cutting-edge technology and future industry trends, jointly shaping global innovation rules and governance, sharing innovative ideas and development concepts worldwide, and jointly driving technological innovation to inject strong momentum into global prosperity and development. The 2026 Zhongguancun Forum Annual Conference’s theme is “Deep Integration of Technological Innovation and Industrial Innovation.” It features five main sections: forum sessions, achievement releases, technology transactions, frontier competitions, and supporting activities. Events include the opening ceremony and plenary session, parallel forums, major achievement releases, Zhongguancun International Technology Exchange Conference, and the finals of the Zhongguancun International Frontier Technology Competition. During the conference, additional activities such as science and technology culture, science popularization, and corporate sessions will also be held. (Xinhua News Agency)
