Single-point breakthrough, then launch an attack on the remaining ones

The concept of single-point breakthrough has been known to me for over a year, and I mentioned it in a post. Looking back now, I only had a very superficial understanding of it at the time, without truly grasping its meaning. My feelings and actions in trading showed little progress or insight. Because I was then blinded by my own perspective and unaware. [Taogu Ba]
Single-point breakthrough, also known as “single point rupture” or “single click through,” is not just a term but also a thinking model.

The key threshold marked in the chart is the critical point where the S-curve forms a breakthrough. Only by crossing this point can a tenfold change phenomenon occur in a single element (a sudden change in a short period), which is an important indicator for identifying the breakthrough point.
Single-click breakthrough (rupture) means focusing on a single point or element, going all out, investing time, energy, and other resources to break through the threshold, transforming it into a highly efficient and high-quality new iteration system.
Threshold point:
Before crossing the threshold (rupture) point: your effort and progress are between 0–99%, result is 0
After crossing the threshold (rupture) point: when the last bit is completed, reaching 100%, result is 1
To briefly describe a trader’s state: no matter how long you’ve worked hard or how much effort and cost you’ve invested, being at 1% or 99% is on the same level or dimension, meaning you still cannot “control” the market or become a stable profit-maker. Only when you break through the last bit and reach 100% will you enter a completely new world, with a stable system and promising results.
This broadly describes the change before and after the rupture. True single-point breakthrough in trading is to focus all efforts on one point (or element), pushing it to an almost absurd extreme, breaking through completely, and gaining or experiencing unexpected rewards.
For example, I spent six years studying trading techniques with extraordinary diligence, maximizing my advantages. The result was nearly unmatched additive skills. During this process, I realized the importance of simplification, making several major cuts to focus on key points, selecting the best and strengthening them.
Even so, I was still building a very large system or framework, which is a difference between a single point and a whole system compared to someone who specializes in a specific initial board pattern.
Therefore, although I improved daily and made significant progress, fundamentally I was still between 0–99%, without a true major breakthrough. The problem was a lack of strategic thinking; huge investments were scattered, and the results did not meet expectations.
The only optimal way to break this current state is through single-point breakthrough, then consider other methods.
So, we need to understand what a single point is and how to break through.
First, we must know the elements or definition of the breakthrough point:
⑴. The point is small enough—like a needle tip.
⑵. The point that interests you most, that you are most skilled at, and easiest to execute.
⑶. A single point or element that is currently or about to undergo a tenfold rapid change.
Recently, I found this breakthrough point—it turned out to be a seemingly ordinary technical pattern of limit-up breakouts, even a daily K-line that is less significant than the initial board. I had studied it extensively before, and about a month ago, I casually considered and arranged it, starting an “unconscious” deep research. The more I dug, the deeper I went. My current understanding is that turning one point into a world.
The original number of cases was only dozens, not very important. After about a month of effort, the number of limit-up breakouts rapidly exceeded 1,560, spanning from 2020 to 2026. In 2025 alone, the success opportunities for limit-up breakouts exceeded 700 times.
This speed benefited from years of habit of recording, accumulating countless technical cases and related experience. Without a solid foundation, a year’s effort might not have achieved this result.
Quantity is just one of many measures of single-point breakthrough; the more important change is in quality.
With each step forward, cognition and understanding have improved astonishingly—from morphological imitation to deeply understanding the underlying capital flow logic and main force tactics. Simple signals on the market can now be used to predict subsequent trends with high probability.
This improvement can be described as tenfold speed—something I had never experienced in years of effort before. It’s like an unintentional stroke of luck, truly demonstrating the importance and ultimate value of single-point breakthrough.
For example, recently, I identified two limit-up breakouts marked by arrows in the chart, which could be predicted and captured in advance—something I never thought about or deeply considered before.
In this example, all gains from the first limit-up breakout to the peak can be captured. Different points have different trading strategies—some buy on dips, others buy at the end of the session.
This example is the most classic and impressive. When I saw it rising daily, I could only admire but didn’t know how to act. Not to mention the opportunities in the early continuous boards, but in the middle and late stages, four key limit-up breakouts serve as crucial nodes. Both the breakout points themselves and subsequent opportunities offer very certain entry points, allowing full participation up to the peak, without missing any.
The techniques and logic are interconnected and also applicable to growth enterprise boards and trend stocks. These limit-up breakouts are important signals—either they have their own entry points or are surrounded by good entry opportunities afterward. Each breakout can become a major profit component, none missed.
Another sign of a tenfold breakthrough is the rise of consecutive one-word limit-up boards. Previously, these were quickly passed, and I thought the main force was monopolizing, no longer related, only looking for divergence opportunities. “Monopoly,” “buying on divergence,” are subjective perceptions others planted in me, but they don’t fully explain the main force’s strategies and behaviors.
Looking back now, it’s clear and obvious. In the future, I can likely identify and trade such opportunities with high probability.
Many tasks and projects have threshold effects—like boiling water must reach 100°C, anything less is ineffective. The breakthrough is to find the breakthrough point and then exert all efforts to break through it, achieving a leap from quantitative to qualitative change.
In reality, according to incomplete statistics, 95% of enterprises and individuals have not yet crossed their breakthrough points. This is a true and frightening fact. Those who haven’t broken through are doing repetitive low-level work. Take trading as an example: 10%, 50%, even 99% of people are still in a large stage; the difference is in the speed of progress and level of cognition, but fundamentally, they are the same. Without reaching a higher-dimensional, advanced level, the gap remains small.
Some complain or are confused why, despite years of effort, they still suffer continuous losses. It’s because they haven’t crossed the threshold; the expected turning point from accumulation to breakthrough hasn’t arrived.
Why haven’t I achieved a true major breakthrough after so many years?

  1. Spreading efforts too thin, scattered, limiting the quality and efficiency of resources allocated to any one pattern.
  2. Improper methods—efforts are halved. Despite recording and reviewing habits, most records are one-time, made just for documentation, rarely revisited or reinforced, making internalization difficult. Hesitation or forgetfulness during trading, and hindsight always reveals missed opportunities—mainly due to this.
  3. Cognitive limitations—difficulty in self-awareness. Lacking strategic thinking and sufficient knowledge reserves, when stuck, one cannot extricate oneself, sinking deeper. Many problems are not solvable in the moment; stepping out with a higher perspective reveals they no longer exist or can be fundamentally solved. Relying on superficial tactics in the current layer yields only half the results or none at all.
Without external help or expert guidance, the only thing one can do is improve daily. Sometimes, unintentional efforts suddenly awaken one. Looking back, I realize I lacked the mindset and actions for single-point breakthrough.
In simple terms, the core principle of the breakthrough is “舍九取一”—discard nine, keep one. The truth is, only focusing on one point can lead to a real breakthrough.
The principle of “weak water can erode the stone” applies here. Understanding the logic is easy; applying it to oneself is hard. When facing the effort and sacrifices made in various aspects, it’s hard to let go. It seems like reducing further, but still far from a true single point.
Without focus, effective breakthrough is impossible. My research on limit-up breakouts finally made me truly understand this. Now I also understand why many restaurants only do one product or ensure a hit item; why traders in Beijing focus solely on a seemingly non-mainstream, mechanically simple initial board pattern—by dedicating all resources to this point, studying it to an extraordinary depth, they achieve breakthrough and stand out.
With the correct direction, scientific and rational methods are needed to achieve daily progress and effective breakthroughs. For example, in recent research on limit-up breakouts, I used an Excel sheet with many key filtering fields—such as grading opportunities based on combined success rate and risk-reward ratio. This highlights key points within a single pattern, facilitates priority and different position sizing during trading, and allows selective review and reinforcement. I also added categories like end-of-day entries and high-standard opportunities, which can independently filter data on volume, trend, and growth enterprise boards, maximizing the adaptability to different situations and learning goals.
The significance of single-point breakthrough is not only in breaking through a specific point to reach a tenfold qualitative change but also in breaking mental barriers, escaping low-dimensional cognition. In trading, it means approaching the main force’s thinking as closely as possible, interpreting market signals to the greatest extent, no longer limited to superficial patterns or technical indicators.
After a successful single-point breakthrough, trading generally enters a stable profit stage—either ending with a period or just a comma. The latter involves further efforts to attack other points, depending on individual circumstances.
Deepening on a single point not only leads to rapid wealth accumulation but also brings non-quantifiable positive effects: increased confidence, no longer hesitant or confused; and establishing benchmarks and role models, providing practical experience and ideas for breakthroughs in other areas or points. The principle of “one thing leads to everything” is true.
I am still continuously working on two other points: trend and consecutive boards.

Consecutive board opportunities have been recorded over 600 cases, which can be subdivided into many smaller points. The breakthrough point here should be the turnover board, with self-assessment progress over 90%, just a few percent or 1% away from true breakthrough.

In the past two years, about 200 classic trend stock cases have been analyzed, generating over 600 short-term opportunities. The new insights or underlying logic gained from limit-up breakouts are fully applicable to trend stocks. Currently, I cannot sustain positions from entry to peak, but through repeated entries and exits, my short-term trend trading level has significantly improved.

In the trading market, individual effort is only one of the necessary conditions. Hard work alone doesn’t guarantee success, but effort without proper direction and methods is ineffective. Only by choosing the right path, applying correct methods, and continuously practicing and accumulating can one truly break through.
In summary, single-point breakthrough is a highly effective and feasible approach for retail traders to quickly overcome trading difficulties. The process requires thorough preparation because a single point is not simple. Once you delve into it, you can turn one point into a three-dimensional world, which is the challenge of making the simple extraordinary.
The feeling of breakthrough is wonderful. I hope all traders striving for success, especially fans, can gain inspiration or awakening from this post, and soon find the right path toward success.
