Japanese and South Korean stock markets open lower; Korea Composite Index temporarily drops over 2% during the session

On March 6, the stock markets in Japan and South Korea opened lower, with the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) briefly falling more than 2% during the session. As of the time of writing, the declines have narrowed: the Nikkei 225 index fell 0.26% to 55,136.97 points; the Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) dropped 0.46% to 5,558.25 points.
