Adani Power's stock price surged over 11% within five days to reach 157.44 rupees, following the company's receipt of a letter of award from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited. The company will supply 1,600 megawatts of power at a tariff of 5.30 rupees per kilowatt-hour for 25 years, beginning in the 2030-31 financial year. Chief Executive Officer S.B. Khyalia stated that the deal underscores the company's competitive cost structure and commitment to meeting India's growing energy demands. The company's 18.15 gigawatts of installed capacity is over 95% backed by long-term agreements.
