Iran claims to have shot down 29 US and Israeli drones

According to a report by Iranian media on March 3, the Iranian Islamic Republic Army issued Announcement No. 7 stating that they have shot down 29 U.S. and Israeli military drones. The announcement said that on that day, Iranian armed forces used drones and missiles to strike U.S. and Israeli positions and troops, including the U.S. Udeid Air Base in Qatar and several Israeli military areas. It also stated that since the counterattack, Iran’s military has shot down 29 U.S. and Israeli drones, including MQ-9 “Reaper” models as well as “Cormorant,” “Ares,” and “Orbiter” types. The announcement added that Iran’s offensive and defensive actions against the U.S. and Israel are still ongoing. (Xinhua)
