Today (the 3rd), a reporter learned from the National Standards Committee that the international standard led by China—the core characteristics of stem cell data—has been officially released. The new standard is a “core quality checklist” for human stem cells, which will effectively address major bottlenecks hindering international scientific collaboration and technological translation in the field of stem cell research. The standard specifies 15 key features, including cell morphology, as mandatory testing and recording items. The new standard will accelerate the safe translation and application of stem cells. With a common data language, research institutions worldwide can collaborate more efficiently, improve research quality, and speed up the safe application of stem cells to better serve human health.
