Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner's Office Concerned About Privacy Risks of OpenClaw and Agentic AI Reminds Institutions and Public to Use AI Safely

The Office of the Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data in Hong Kong announced on March 16th that it has noted recent discussions regarding the security risks associated with using OpenClaw and other agentic AI technologies. The Privacy Commissioner’s Office also expressed concern over these incidents and reminds organizations and citizens to be aware of and understand the privacy and security risks involved before deploying or using OpenClaw and other agentic AI systems. They should take precautions to prevent personal data leaks, system hijacking, and cybersecurity threats, and implement adequate and effective security measures to protect personal privacy.
