Arbitrum Security Council freezes KelpDAO hacker's 30,766 ETH
ChainCatcher message, Arbitrum Security Council announcement, has taken emergency action to rescue 30,766 ETH stored in the Arbitrum One address, which is related to the KelpDAO vulnerability. The Security Council, with the assistance of law enforcement agencies, identified the attacker and has consistently maintained the safety and integrity of the Arbitrum community, ensuring that no Arbitrum users or applications are affected.
After extensive technical investigation and review, the Security Council determined and implemented a technical solution to transfer the funds to a secure location without affecting any other chain states or Arbitrum users. As of 11:26 PM Eastern Time on April 20, the funds have been successfully moved to an intermediate frozen wallet. The original address holding the funds can no longer access these assets, and only the Arbitrum governance can take further action to transfer these funds, which will be coordinated with relevant parties.
