Lately, confirming transactions has been making my fingers sore... The gas on the mainnet really feels like a cat's claw scratching my chest: not deadly with one scratch, but it keeps hurting. The L2 experience is indeed smooth, transfers and interactions are fast, but the problem is that each cross-chain transaction requires queuing and mental calculation of costs, making me feel like a small spender saving on electricity but running the air conditioner to the next room.
My current compromise is: for daily interactions and testnet-related activities, I prioritize L2; only keep the "must-approve" transactions on the mainnet (like settling or claiming things on the mainnet). Then every time I see someone complaining about validator earnings or MEV front-running, honestly, I get a bit annoyed too: I just want to click confirm obediently, why do I have to participate in a game of "who cuts in line first"... Anyway, for now, I'll keep it like this, stay steady, and avoid impulsively confirming multiple times.
