That was a bit nerve-wracking just now... During the congestion, I was in a rush to switch positions, and only after clicking did I remember: a transaction isn't "confirmed once sent," it first goes into the mempool queue. When there's a lot of traffic, it's like rush hour on the subway—your transaction gets picked over by miners/packagers, if the fee is too low it gets stuck, if it's too high it might get buried among similar transactions and take time to process.

The more frustrating part was that I almost clicked twice in a row, thinking "why hasn't there been any movement," but in reality, both transactions were waiting in the queue for each other (that nonce thing—basically, you have to pass in order). If the one in front gets stuck, the ones behind are blocked too. Luckily, I usually disconnect for ten minutes to cool off, then check the pending transactions before deciding whether to replace the fee or just cancel.

Recently, everyone’s been talking about modularization and Layer 2 (DA layer) discussions are flying high, developers are excited as hell, but users just have one feeling: when the chain is congested, all narratives take a back seat... From now on, I’ll add a reason to my entry: first check the mempool, don’t just rush in. Emotion score: 7/10, almost lost my head.
