Techub News reports that, according to Decrypt, U.S. Pacific Command Commander Samuel Paparo stated that the U.S. government is currently running Bitcoin nodes to conduct cybersecurity-related operational tests, but emphasized that no Bitcoin mining is taking place. He said that the military views Bitcoin as a cryptographic tool and a reusable proof-of-work mechanism, serving as an additional means of network protection.

Paparo pointed out that the U.S. military is in an experimental phase of Bitcoin application, focusing more on its computer science value rather than its financial asset properties. Additionally, he mentioned support for stablecoin legislation such as the GENIUS Act, believing that this helps maintain the U.S. dollar's dominant position globally and aligns with American military interests.
