I just reviewed the security reports for February, and the figures are quite revealing. Exploits in the crypto ecosystem resulted in losses of $35.7 million that month, including about $8.5 million from phishing attacks. Honestly, these numbers are eye-catching.

What's interesting is that this represents the month with the lowest losses from such incidents since March 2025. This suggests that something is changing in the industry, probably because projects and exchanges are investing more in audits and protective measures. Exploits remain a problem, but at least we see a downward trend.

It's not that everything is resolved, but it's a reminder of why security remains critical. The more defenses against these attacks are strengthened, the better for everyone.
