Two departments: By 2030, basically establish a standard system that covers multiple fields of service trade, the entire chain, and meets the needs of high-quality development of service trade

The Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration for Market Regulation issued the “Action Plan for Service Trade Standardization Work (2026–2030).” It mentions that over five years, the goal is to improve the overall capacity for service trade standardization across the country, cultivate a group of technical institutions and leading organizations for service trade standardization, promote the development of a number of key service trade standards in important fields, lead or participate in the formulation of a batch of international standards for service trade, and significantly enhance the level of service trade standardization. By 2030, a standard system covering multiple fields of service trade and the entire supply chain that meets the needs of high-quality development in service trade will be basically established, with expanded standard supply and increased international influence. China’s participation in the governance of international standardization for service trade will be strengthened, and the role of standards in leading high-quality development of service trade, promoting institutional opening in the service sector, and supporting high-quality growth will be further highlighted.
