According to a report from Xinhua News Agency citing Iranian media on April 3, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps confirmed the death of Rezaei, a senior officer in its naval intelligence.
Israel Defense Forces said in a statement issued on March 26 that the previous night, the Israeli military carried out an airstrike on the port of Abbas in southern Iran, killing several senior Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy personnel, including Ali Reza Tangsiri, commander of the IRGC Navy, and Behnam Rezaei, head of the naval intelligence unit.
