I came across an interesting proposal on how to rethink creator coins. The idea is to build a DAO without tokens — similar to what Protocol Guild has started exploring — where creators could truly have decision-making power.

The concept is quite clever. Imagine a DAO structure where members vote anonymously on who joins the collective, but without traditional tokens. The focus shifts entirely: instead of trading creator coins as speculative assets, the goal is to identify and support genuine talent.

What I like is the burning mechanism. When a creator joins this creator DAO, a portion of their coins is simply burned. It completely changes the dynamics — no more pump-and-dump games, no more artificial FOMO. It’s a serious attempt to filter out the noise.

The real challenge they’re trying to solve is the one we all know in crypto: how to truly emerge with good content? In the past, people often skyrocketed just because of social status, not because they created something valuable. This DAO approach proposes to select initial members based on specific content styles, creating a more curated environment.

It’s an ambitious model. If it works, it could really redefine how creator coins operate in the crypto space. Stay tuned.
