Is Negotiation Like a Bug? Iran's Internal Affairs Are the Real "Boss Level"
Many people think the current negotiation deadlock is due to significant U.S.-Iran disagreements. But in reality, the real "bottleneck" is inside Iran.
Hardliners want to maintain a tough stance and avoid concessions under pressure; while the government prefers to ease tensions through negotiations. This disagreement is essentially a struggle over strategic direction.
The problem is that the top decision-makers currently have no clear stance. This leads to a very practical situation:
Everyone is waiting, but no one dares to act.
Under this structure, external pressure, no matter how intense, has limited effect. Donald Trump extending the ceasefire by 3-5 days is more like knocking on the door, but the people inside are still debating whether to open it.
Pakistan says negotiations might restart in 36-72 hours, but this is more about "sending signals" rather than confirming progress. Because if internal unity isn't achieved, external timelines are essentially meaningless.
So, the short-term judgment is simple:
As long as there is no internal consensus in Iran, negotiations won't truly advance.
And once internal unity is achieved, whether to negotiate or not, the pace will suddenly accelerate.
This is also why the current situation looks "busy but resultless"—because the real decision-making hasn't happened yet. #美伊二轮谈判进展
