Jules' positioning has been upgraded from the previous asynchronous coding agent to a "end-to-end agentic product development platform," officially described as: reading the entire product context, determining what to build next, proposing solutions, and then submitting a pull request. Previously, Jules operated as an asynchronous coding agent integrated with GitHub, where users assigned specific coding tasks, and the agent executed and submitted code in the background. The change in the new version is that the agent no longer only executes given tasks but actively understands the overall product and decides what to do.
